Music sways me by distancemeansolittle, literature
Literature
Music sways me
Music sways me
Folds into me
Possesses me
Speaks to me
Hears me
Shows it all to me
Like the stars fell down from the sky into my ears
February 3rd, 2015
I miss you today
And I’ll miss you tomorrow
Nothing can wash away
The edge of my sorrow
Sometimes I find
It has tiptoed away
Always it comes back
Just like today
A ghost of your smile
Your laugh’s own shadow
Float in the air
Wherever I go
Sweet memories haunt me
Always so rife
I wish not to be free
They colour my life
August 29th, 2014
I fell asleep all too soon by distancemeansolittle, literature
Literature
I fell asleep all too soon
I fell asleep all too soon
Lulled by the quietening monsoon
Pattering away on the rooves
A thousand pair of thundering hooves
Down and down poured the sheets of rain
Enough to render me insane
The world seemed to fade into nothingness
As I stared at the blank dull grayness
The steady rhythm picked up its pace
All of a sudden it was a race
The water had just turned to lead
And crashed endlessly above my head
Still in my head echoes the thud
Of quiet rain turned into flood
Swallowing all the crimson mud
And morphing into a swirling mass of blood
I was alone, lost in the muteness
Of a world shrouded in darkness
Yellow sun, blue sky by distancemeansolittle, literature
Literature
Yellow sun, blue sky
Yellow sun, blue sky
A beetle climbing on my thigh
Above dances a butterfly
Orange sky, red sun
The beetle from my thigh is gone
And the butterfly away has flown
Liberty
An open window
A cage without its key
A bird flies low
Singing. Liberty!
Through the window
I see a shadow
In its hand a key
The child smiles sweetly
Music sways me by distancemeansolittle, literature
